A lot of the dishes we tried really reminded me of central asian street food. The insanely delicious hand made roast baozi in this street food video was definitely of the best street foods that I’ve tried in China! So far, I’ve tried and sampled street food in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Chengdu (in Sichuan province), and all around china, but after coming here to Turpan in Xinjiang in deep western China, I was blown away at how delicious it was and can say that this is definitely one of the best street foods around the world! Everything we tried, and in particular these roast baozi, made by baking them deep in a tandoori oven, was really cheap. The local language is Uighur, but I got by with Mandarin Chinese, although it would have been a little better if I studied a little Uighur language to have some better interaction with the locals. Overall, our experience in Turpan eating delicious street food was amazing! It is definitely one of the best street food cities we've been to in 2017!
