What about trying the food that the monks eat? In this video, I try some of the food surrounding Wenshu temple and inside the temple itself in Chengdu. If you want to try the food inside, come around 12PM or 5pm and lineup inside the temple for some free food. Too be honest, the food inside the temple wasn't that flavourful, but it was an amazing experience to eat in there and gain a glimpse of what the monks eat.
