Putrefied Herring & Smoked Roe in Stockholm | Bizarre Foods With Andrew Zimmern

Andrew travels to Stockholm, Sweden where the New Nordic movement celebrates a unique dish: putrefied herring. To fully immerse himself in the herring life, Andrew hits the water with restaurateur PG Nilsson, his brother, Rolf, and chef Filip Festén. The crew net iconic Baltic herring and snack on a few raw ones before heading back for a shore-side cookout in the historic old town. While their catch cooks along the water, Andrew meets up with renowned chef Malin Söderström, and the two of them sample three different types of the local putrid delicacy, Surströmming, or fermented herring.
