A Strange Trip to Ibadan, Nigeria ()

And so we had arrived in Ibadan, the slightly quieter version of Lagos. If you were ever hit with the trivia question "What is the oldest skyscraper in (tropical) Africa?", you probably wouldn't say the Cocoa House. But that is indeed the one, and it was a source of pride for not only Ibadan but all of Nigeria when it was finished in 1965. Sadly, it's best days are behind it. I wanted to try climbing to the top of it and see what remained of the former star of Ibadan. #sabbatical #nigeria #africa
