The WWII Dead on the Road to Berlin

One of the most apocalyptic battles in WWII took place in the final months to the south of Berlin in a place that became known as the Halbe Pocket. The loss here so was great that the remains of the dead are still being found to this day. In this episode, we're paying a visit to the Volksbund to get an exclusive behind the scenes look at the work that they're doing. In addition, we're exploring a Soviet war cemetery and taking a look at a unique artifact from the collection at The Gettysburg Museum of History that is connected to the Halbe Pocket. This episode was produced in partnership with The Gettysburg Museum of History.
